SECTION 144 OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CODE :-  Power to issue order in urgent cases of nuisance or apprehended danger

[1]. In cases where , in the opinion of the district magistrate, a SDM or any other executive magistrate specially empowered by the state government in this behalf , there is a sufficient ground for proceeding under this section  and immediate prevention or speedy remedy is desirable, such magistrate may, by a written order stating the material facts of the case and served in the manner   
 provided by section 134, direct any person to abstain from a certain act or to take certain order with respect to certain property i his possession or under his management, if such magistrate considers that such direction is likely to prevent , tends to prevent, obstruction, annoyance or injury to any person lawfully employed, or danger to human life, health or safely or a disturbance  of the public tranquility  or a riot or an affray.

[2]. An order under this section may, in cases of emergency or in cases where the circumstances do not admit of the serving in due lime on a notice upon the person against whom the order is directed, be passed ex parte . 

[3]. No order under this section shall remain in force for more than two months from the making thereof.

Now section 144 of CR.PC has been imposed in many parts of NCR , people are under this impression that they can not move out of there homes freely but this section says person in a group of four or more can be arrested by police on apprehension that they can  be involved in riots. So no need to worry and people can follow there daily routine.

साध्वीं रैप केस मे गुरमीत राम रहीम के खिलाफ कोर्ट का आदेश आने के बाद समर्थको ने जगह जगह हिंसा और बवाल काटना शुरू कर दिया है ! जिसके कारण कोर्ट का रुख और भी सक्त हो गया है ! कोर्ट ने कहा की तोड़फोड़ और हिंसा के कारण हुए नुक्सान  की भरपाई बाबा की प्रॉपर्टी को बेचकर की जाएगीं ! इसीलिए कोर्ट ने बाबा की सभी प्रॉपर्टी जब्त करने के आदेश दे दिए हैं ! हाई कोर्ट ने हरियाणा सरकार को भी कड़ी फटकार लगाई है ! कोर्ट ने कहा की सरकार ने राजनितिक फायदे के लिए पुरे प्रदेश को जलने दिया ! बाद मे केंद्र सरकार ने पुरे एनसीआर मे धारा 144 लागु कर दी है ! कही पर भी 4 या 4 से ज्यादा लोग इकट्ठे नहीं हो सकतें !हरियाणा के डी जी पी  बीएस संधू ने प्रेस कांफ्रेंस मे बताया की  साध्वीं रैप केस मे गुरमीत राम रहीम के खिलाफ कोर्ट का आदेश आने के बाद हुए दंगो मे अभी तक 36 लोगो की पुलिस की गोली से मौत हो चुकी है !
